Freddy Leggett, CSR
Freddy is the firm owner who also is a certified, practicing reporter. Splitting off from his previous firm, Freddy started City Reporters, Inc. in October of 1992, at its present location. Freddy has reported cases in all areas of litigation and has traveled to all areas of the country doing depositions, hearings and EUOs.
Kim R. Glover, CSR, RPR, RMR
Kim is a Certified Shorthand Reporter for the State of Oklahoma and Texas and also hold the National designations of Registered Professional Reporter and Registered Merit Reporter. In her 25 years of experience, I have reported all types of cases including oil and gas as well as medical malpractice. Kim has provided real time services and daily copy in District Court in a three week trial, real time feeds broadcast over the Internet, and also CART services for the deaf community in their annual meetings and seminars. Kim is married and has three children.
Lori Johnston, CSR, RPR
Lori began her career in reporting as a student at Oklahoma College of Court Reporting in May of 1997. She passed the Oklahoma CSR exam in May of 1998 and the NCRA Registered Professional Reporter exam in May of 1999. She is certified in Arkansas as well as Oklahoma. She began her career as a freelance reporter and has worked at the same freelance reporting firm ever since. She is in charge of emerging technologies for her firm and spends most of her time on realtime and/or highly technical cases. She has presented seminars on Internet streaming of depositions for the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Courts and has presented numerous in-service seminars at her firm for emerging technologies over the years. She has presented on litigation support technology to the Complex Litigation classes at OCU Law School. She has written papers for the Oklahoma Bar Association on professionalism for attorneys in the deposition setting and has written a student section for her state reporting newsletter, The Sooner Outline.
Lori has also presented seminars for OCRA on topics such as realtime hookups, steno briefs, and advanced CAT software training. She takes a special interest in cultivating realtime reporters, as she sees this as the future for the profession. Lori wholeheartedly believes the key to ensuring our profession’s continuation and proliferation begins with ensuring our schools’ recruitment and graduation of qualified students on the front end and continuing education of our reporters to the highest standards of competency, ethics, and reporting technologies post certification. She has been a member of the Oklahoma Court Reporters Association Board of Directors for four years, currently serving as President. She has been a trainer for ProCAT software and writer products for the past five years. Having two immediate family members as members of the Bar, she is in a unique position to see issues confronting the legal system from the viewpoint of both reporters and attorneys. She is married with two young children and enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.
Kimberly R. Sullivan, CSR
Kimberly R. Sullivan is a Certified Shorthand Reporter certified in Okahoma. She has worked both as an official and a freelance reporter since 1985. Kim has been with City Reporters for over 10 years. Over the years, she has produced transcripts of courtroom proceedings, arbitrations and depositions involving nearly every field of law practice, however, she feels her niche is reporting both expert and lay witnesses in medical malpractice cases. She is married and has recently become a grandmother. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.
Shawna D. Ayala, CSR
After interning at another firm during court reporting school, Shawna joined City Reporters and has been a subcontracting reporter for us ever since. She is entering her 10th year of reporting in the freelance field.
Emily Eakle, CSR, RPR, RMR
Emily has experience in the State of Oklahoma District Courts. She was an official reporter in Canadian County for several years. She has been a reporter for 15 years. She contracted for other firms before affiliating with City Reporters. She has been affiliated with City Reporters for five years now. Emily has advanced national certifications and is a realtime reporter.
Debra Garver, CSR, RPR
Debra became affiliated with City Reporters after serving several years as an official reporter in Cleveland County, Oklahoma. As well as her court court reporting skills, Debra is completing training as a life coach.
Jill Resetar, CSR
Jill has been affiliated with City Reporters for ten years, after contracting with another firm right out of court reporting school. Jill has reported cases in a wide variety of fields, and is a very versatile reporter.
Heidi Shelton, CSR
Heidi has been contracting with City Reporters for two years. She continues to do CART two days per week at the University of Oklahoma, aiding deaf
students with their in-class work.
Janice Claro, CSR
After managing her own firm for many years, Janice closed her doors, but not her business. She has merged her book of business in with City Reporters for the last year. Janice has experience in all areas of litigation, with a vast amount or work in Oil and Gas cases.
Judy Thompson, CSR
Having worked with Janice Claro at her firm for a number of years, Judy affiliated herself with City Reporters when Janice moved her business here. As with all of our reporters, Judy is experienced in all kinds of cases and is comfortable in taking hearings and depositions.
Brenda Schmitz, CSR
Brenda is another reporter who, with a partner, managed her own firm for many years. After she and her partner separated Brenda chose to affiliate herself with City Reporters, and brought her many clients with her. A large portion of Brenda’s cases are in medical malpractice litigation.
Marla Cullison, CSR
Marla is the most recent reporter to affiliate with City. After working for another firm she went to the Oklahoma County Courthouse and was the official reporter for a criminal court for six years. After reporting many high profile court cases Marla has again joined the freelance field.
Staff
Karen Garcia
Another University of Oklahoma graduate, Karen came to City Reporters in 2010. She has had experience supervising people and working with the public in another industry. Karen is also a personal trainer and runs marathons. She is in charge of scheduling and production. Any questions in those areas should be directed to Karen.
Carlee Raines
Carlee is a part-time person while going to court reporting school. She uses the skills learned in school to transcribe audio recordings for us. She is on sabbatical from school while expecting her second child.
